NAME: Vincent Evan Chambers
GENDER: Male
AGE: 21, nearly 22
SPIRIT PATRON: Night, Fang of the Shadow
SPIRIT ANIMAL: Eyvindr, a large, slightly oversized, fox bat that prefers to speak telepathically and remain slightly insubstantial, as its fighting abilities are weak to none. It acts as a scout for Vincent commonly; while it doesn’t have echolocation, it does have very sensitive eyes.
RANK: Intern
EYE COLOR: Grey, with only the slightest hints of blue near the edge.
HAIR COLOR: Deep black.
MAGIC: No magical abilities, though he manages to have some resistance against technology. Whether this was attained or he’s had it all his life is unknown, but it appears to be a slightly weaker version of the anti-bullet shield. Additionally, it seems that any type magic that could influence the mind has a much weaker effect on him, whether this be for the good (such as morale) or bad (such as manipulation).
DESCRIPTION: Vincent doesn’t make a good shadow. In fact, he makes a much better distraction. His pale skin, though not pale enough that his hair looks awkward on him, contrasts slightly with his deep, dark black hair. His nose is strong and carved out in a nice manner, and his cheekbones are slightly higher than average, letting his face to naturally appear slightly thin, not puffy or loose. His skin is naturally almost always clear of any blemishes – he seems to have a very nice face. It’s definitely recognizable, and it’s definitely not a good “shadow” or “night”.
He uses this to his advantage, though. Slipping behind the cracks was easy for him, even though he was so noticeable. Figure out when you wanted to seem confident, when you wanted to seem weak, when you wanted to seem invisible. He was a master on manipulation on crowds. He could distract them, force them off, and slip away, forgotten already.
The man, though just barely a man by anyone’s accounts, stands at a rather average one hundred seventy-seven (177) centimeters (cm). His weight is just the slightest bit over nine stone, which is roughly equivalent to fifty-eight (58) kilograms (kg) or one hundred twenty-eight (128) lbs. He seems the slightest bit underweight, though that’s mostly due to his low fat concentrations. What little fat he does have is hidden by the small amounts of muscle. Though he weighs very little, he prefers it this way, claiming an inherent attraction to the idea of seeming so powerful, yet so weak.
PERSONALITY:
+Friendly – Despite his outwards appearances, Vincent is truly a friendly person. Perhaps socially awkward at times, since he didn’t always get to hang out with friends at schools, but he’s a truly caring and sympathetic friend.
+Placid – Vincent is, without a doubt, placid. Very cool, very calm, very reserved. This might get on your nerves if you expect a response out of him, but anyone smart could spot this a mile away. Of course, he recognizes that not everyone is as smart as what they act like.
+/-Sarcastic – While a great sense of humor for those enjoying the joke, Vincent’s sarcasm can quickly dwindle down to pessimism and cynicism. He recognizes this, yet makes no attempt to fix it. It seems that you’ll either have to put up or try to break through his barrier of retorts.
+/-Secretive – The marking characteristic of any Night spirit zodiac, he is very secretive, to the point where for sometimes days at time, he will disappear suddenly. He comes back in good shape, though refuses to admit where he goes, what he does, or why he leaves.
-Condescending – A fellow who often patronizes, he seems to be very apathetic towards outward stimuli. The barriers that he’s set up are nearly impossible to penetrate. He enjoys taunting, almost playing, with his ‘subjects’ before eventually growing bored of them and throwing them to the festering pit of people he no longer cares about.
-Deceitful – Far from being simply secretive, Vincent is outright deceitful at times. And more strangely, he’ll lie in the most basic of situations. If he was in the store and ran into a friend, he’d claim to have family over, and that’s why he was at the store, even if he was simply running low of groceries. It seems more of a habit to him than anything else at this point.
-Spiteful – While this isn’t something that comes out as often, Vincent can be shown to be very spiteful around other people. He competes when there’s nothing to win and is envious of what he never wanted before. He’s a strange man, but hidden behind a mask of apathy and manipulation.
HISTORY: Vincent Evan Chambers, son of Jonathon Chambers and Olivia Chambers. He went to a private, Catholic school in the heart of England for primary school, and then went to a slightly larger, non-religious school for secondary school. He graduated classes with honors and quickly moved on to University, where he studied economy. Following his junior year of university, however, he left for a year, promising to come back to his family, but he said the constant stress of school had put him in a predicament.
After leaving university, he started delving into this world. His spirit zodiac and he became exploring the spirit realm, and that journey took him farther than he’d ever realize. Now in further than he could ever get out, and even then, he never wanted to, he decided to try to contact the mysterious Silence.
EQUIPMENT: As a child, he very much enjoyed practicing his swordsmanship. He generally stayed with shorter swords, though he knows his way around a larger, two-handed sword such as a claymore or zweihänder. As a relic of his younger days, he keeps a small (now slightly too light) spatha, a replica of a Roman shortsword. Its length was smaller than most other spathae, but he kept it as a reminder nonetheless. It holds no special powers or tricks, simply a shortsword and the knowledge of how to use one.
RELATIONSHIPS: No connections thus far, though more than willing to make you. Perhaps I should post in the other forum… perhaps I should also stop being OOC.
