Q: So what happens to the person if their spirit animal dies?
A:
Think of it as losing a piece of yourself. People will handle it differently. Some may get angry, others may feel lost, others may lose the will to live at all. Generally speaking, it's not good and can put an agent out of work.
(Opal Commentary: Mostly, people just go apeshit crazy.)
Q: Is it not natural for the spirit animals to talk out loud?
A:
Spirit animals are perfectly capable of both. In cases where privacy is concerned, a spirit animal might use telepathy. It's up to the spirit animal to decide what he/she prefers more.
(Opal Commentary: Yeah, it's mainly a personal thing. It can be impacted by both partners' personalities, too.)
Q: What exactly do each group(research, field, etc.) of agents do?
A:
Research agents are agents devoted to research. A large part of Strife isn't combating the fae, but rather preventing their escape altogether. Runes, magical items, enchantments, magic, etc.- Research agents are the ones who figure that out. Infiltration agents are the agents that are devoted to infiltrating areas of large fae activity. Just as the Strife combats the fae, there are cultists who wish to bring the fae to their world. These cultists need to be stopped, but the easiest way of knowing what they're doing is infiltrating them. Communication agents are the agents that focus on communicating between governments, field agents, meetings, and other vital aspects. Field agents are agents that work mostly in the field. This involves, but is not limited to, taking down fae or fae clusters, disbanding fae cultist camps, keeping an eye out in cities and areas of large activity, and security.
Q: Is there a specific age an intern becomes an agent, does it depend on a certain length of time they are an intern, or just how well the person learns their duties?
A:
An intern becomes an agent whenever he or she has demonstrated the ability to act on their own and has enough knowledge to help others. There's no specific age or time limit.
(Opal Commentary: And by 'help others' Regina means 'kill as many people as necessary to achieve your goal.')
Q: I’ve noticed that you and Opal have included Titania and Puck, but what about Oberon?
A:
Someone else asked about this, and she still isn't sure why she never included Oberon.
(Opal Commentary: Uh, that's not related to a possible plot point at all.... >.> )
